Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new method of discrete approximation of a time-limited discrete signal of which starting-point on the time-axis is known. The presented approximation uses sample values of output signals obtained by inputting a discrete signal to a given FIR analysis filter bank. This approximation satisfies perfect reconstruction of the discrete signal in a given time interval which is near the starting point of the discrete signal. This approximation changes gradually to a best approximation reported sequentially in [21]~[26]. The approximation error is equal to zero in the time interval near the starting point of the discrete signal. Then, the error changes to a product between a given coefficient α and the approximation error of the optimum approximation. α changes gradually from zero to one. When α becomes one, the approximation becomes identical to the optimum approximation adopted by the presented approximation.
