Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When driven by common noise, various dynamical systems can undergo mutual synchronization. This phenomenon is called noise-induced synchronization, and its theoretical formulation has been established for limit-cycle oscillators. However, for a broader class of dynamical systems such as chaotic oscillators, theoretical formulation is still under development. In this study, we develop a generalized phase reduction method that is applicable to noisy chaotic oscillators, by extending the conventional phase reduction method for limit cycles. We analyze noise-induced synchronization phenomena of chaotic oscillators by the developed method and predict their statistical properties.
