Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A transmission-line of 90 degrees can be transformed into Cheng's equivalent structure at two frequencies that consists of a transmission-line and two open or short-circuited stubs, and with this nature a single-band microwave passive component such as a coupler can be transformed into a component with dual-band operation. However, as the ratio of an upper frequency to a lower frequency increases, the characteristic impedance of an open or a short-circuited stub decreases and that of the transmission-line increases monotonously. Therefore, the range of frequency ratio for realizing dual-band passive components tends to be narrow. For the purpose of realizing a dual band component in a wide range of frequency ratio, this report presents a technique to lower or to raise characteristic impedances needed in the Cheng's equivalent structure.
