Abstract(in English) In these years, the traffic on wireless links such as 3G, WiMAX and LTE is explosively increasing with the surprising diffusion of smart-phones. As the result, the rack of frequency resource on micro-wave band is quite critical and it is one of the most important issues on wireless communication technology. The offload approach with WiFi is expected to be the most promising solution for directly accommodating such large traffic capacity into our networks in order to save the frequency resource for the cellular systems. On the other hand, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, robust networks against big disaster which can work continuously during very long interruption of the power supply is strongly desired for safe and secure society. In this paper, we propose massive antenna systems for wireless entrance (MAS-WE), which equip a large number of antennas and provide wireless entrance links to many WiFi APs spread in the wide service area effectively.
