Abstract(in English) On July 25th 2012, high power (250mW) wireless communication can be enabled at 920MHz band in Japan. 920MHz band wireless communication is expected to be applied for such industrial applications as smartgrid, xEMS (Energy Management System), and so on, as license-free wireless band. It is also focused on as global wireless frequency band. In this research, 920MHz-band wireless propagation performance (such as communication distance, received wireless power and power distribution, packet error rate, and so on) in some fields with originally developed 920MHz-band wireless instruments which enabled taking the certification of conformance to technical standards was measured. 250mW high output power enabled 20km long-distance stable wireless communication in line-of-sight environment, which indicates the possibility of expansion of applications for 920MHz wireless systems.
