Abstract(in English) Because of development of semiconductor technology, the demand for analog image has been declining recently as the technology of digital image advance. However, anyone can easily edit or manipulate any digital image on a computer. Thus, it is often difficult to use digital images as evidence of specific events, such as the investigation of crime, etc. Several image-manipulation detection techniques have been proposed as a way to overcome these problems. Conventional research often exploits such technologies as watermarking and hash algorithms. However, watermarking-based image manipulation detection reduces the quality of the original image when embedding invisible markers. Hash-based methods are susceptible to image noise. This paper proposes a novel image-manipulation detection method that consists of a morphological pattern spectrum algorithm and public key cryptosystem. We confirmed our method can detect place of image forgery and have resistance to 5% Hurl noise.
