Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Detection of biological signal such as electromyography (EMG) is an important technology for the realization of man-machine interface such as myoelectric prosthesis or wearable remote controller. However, surface EMG obtained from the electrode of the skin surface is weak and inevitably buried in electrical noise. We propose a non-invasive detection method utilizing stochastic resonance (SR). We show that SR occurs with aperiodic myogenic potential by adding external noise. On the basis of this result, surface EMG is measured using noise intrinsically superimposed on the skin surface. The improvement of the sensitivity using a delayed network is also investigated.
