Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultrasonic quantitative diagnosis are beginning to use in clinical site. It is first necessary to understand the relationship between the characteristics of echo signal and tissue property. Towards this aim, speed-of-sound (SOS) and attenuation from three types of rat livers (normal, fatty and fibrosis) were measured with a scanning bioacoustic microscopy with transducers of 80 MHz and 250 MHz center frequencies. The results of calculation of SOS and attenuation were compared with histology of each tissue sample.
