A Consideration of a Retrieval Method for Facial Picture of Buddhism Statue

Abstract(in English) In generally, a customer needs much time and effort for an order of Buddhism statue to request his/her desire with referring many pictures of existing product. We propose a retrieval method for facial picture of Buddhism statue based on some impression and emotion words to reduce them. In the method, the pictures are valued by such process as (1) Graded sample images according to the words, (2) Classified sample images by Principal Component Analysis, (3) Composing average faces for the words, (4) Calculating the correlation between the average faces and the facial pictures. We have good results for the retrieval from a graph put 92 sample images and 607 facial pictures of Buddhism statue according to the correlation.
