Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We describe principal technology development for 1-bit digital radio frequency (DRF) transmitter comprising a band-pass delta-sigma modulator (BP-DSM). This 1-bit DRF transmitter outputs radio signals generated only by a digital circuit instead of an analog circuit. In addition, the DRF transmitter can handle arbitrary modulated waveform as the 1-bit digital pulse train and regenerate the radio signal through a band pass filter. Therefore, this digital RF system is a kind of a bandpass transmission system and also a baseband transmission system to handle shape of the square wave. This technology has possibility to realize a high flexibility that the optical communication fuses with the wireless communication and shows us one directionality of the future communication systems. As for the thing of the above-mentioned recognition, we report various principal technologies which are a concurrent dual-band transmitter, a new channel coding and so on.
