Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The goal of this study is to get knowledge on the relationship among the parameters of a person retrieval system. We assume that the system retrieves a given person from the images taken from a non-overlapping camera-network distributed over a wide area. Although the parameters, such as precision of person re-identification, number of cameras and number of persons in the area, seems to affect the accuracy of retrieval, the impact of the parameters is not obvious and it is difficult to conduct experiments of such system in real world. We construct a simulator which simulates the person retrieval system and verify the validity of it. After that, we run the simulator several times with different parameters and obtain some knowledge about the person retrieval system.
