Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication and Ranging System using Manchester Coded Spread Spectrum Technique with Visible Light

Abstract(in English) In this report, Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication and Ranging System using Manchester Coded Spread Spectrum Technique with Visible Light called Visible Light Manchester Boomerang System is discussed. Recently, light sources on vehicles of which examples are headlights, taillights, and so on have been changed to LEDs. The discussed Visible Light Manchester Boomerang System uses such headlights and taillights with LEDs. In this study, direct sequence (DS) method with manchester coding is employed as spread spectrum technique. From simulation results, it is confirmed that performance of the Visible Light Manchester Boomerang System is better than the conventional Visible Light Boomerang System with DS method against interference light from another vehicle. Moreover, it is also confirmed that the Visible Light Manchester Boomerang System has no influence from back ground light.
