Abstract(in English) We have studied Raman amplification in passive optical networks (PON). For upgrading the existing PON systems, such as 10G-EPON, we propose and investigate hybrid-Raman amplification. With hybrid-Raman amplification, we can expand transmission distance and increase an splitting number of a star coupler
