Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We conducted a study to install additional optical fiber cable into Remote Telephone Subscriber Module (RSBM-F). RSBM-F is so compact that there is not enough space for installing additional conventional optical fiber cable into the device. Hence, we considered "Free Bending Optical Cord" could be used. However, as the device is established outside the buildings, internal temperature of the device reaches 80 degrees Celsius, out of operational temperature of "Free Bending Optical Cord". We verified the characteristics on the operational temperature of "Free Bending Optical Cord" in case of short length because essential optical cord length in the device RSBM-F is not so long. We finally confirmed that short "Free Bending Optical Cord" can be applied in high temperature environment.
