Abstract(in English) In the optical communication network, the wavebands in the C-band (1530~1565- nm) and the L-band (1565-1625- nm) have been used. To construct the optical communication network in 1.0μm-band for expanding the available wavelength bandwidth, we developed the optical source and transport system. We demonstrate high repetition rate, pico-second pulse-train generation in the 1-μm region by using Mach-Zehnder Modulator. We also evaluate the optical source of wavelength-division-mutiplexing transmission system using the proposed pulse source.
