Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We predicted that the avatar design depends on the user's relationship to other users. Thirty eight high school students designed avatars in three conditions : 1) the student's friends can identify the avatar's user, 2) the student's teacher car identify the avatar's user, and 3) no one can identify the avatar's user. As a result, the students designed a more coercive avatar when the student's teacher can identify the avatar's user than the avatar designed to imitate the user's face.
