Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed the system which informs nearby traffic participants about drivers' cognitive status to prevent traffic accidents. In this survey, we conducted a Web survey (n=1, 545) on whether the proposed system is socially accepted. Seventy-three percent of the licensed driver (n=1, 030) answered they permit to give the information on their cognitive status. Considermg that the information on the vehicle (velocity, acceleration or direction) was 91 percent and private information (sex or age) of the driver was 32 percent, the results suggests that providing the information on driver's cognitive status may be possible accepted socially. The trend which respondents who considered that the provision of information about the driver's cognitive status was useful in road safety were affirmative to provide information was observed.
