Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a system that can control CG animation of dance groups in a virtual world by recognizing gestures using Kinect in real time. The system can change the formation of CG dancers by right-arm gestures and their motions by left-arm gestures. Moreover, a virtual camera is controlled by the gestures of both hands. The rotational data of joints are used to recognize each hand gesture in controlling the dance groups, while the translational data of joints are used to control the virtual camera Since the system recognizes both hand gestures at the same time, users can control two or more objects by a combination of gestures.
