Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This article discusses how to recognize groups of humans and objects interacting with each other in an open space based on their formations. Since humans and objects included in the same group of interaction often take some distinguishing formation, we propose to extract spatial regions occupied by groups of humans and objects taking that formation from their positions and orientations in a real environment by the level set method, which is often used for region extraction in image processing, so that the humans and objects included in the same region are recogmzed to be interacting with each other as the same group.
