Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The number of pedestrian deaths are more than 35%, and it is the main component of traffic accidents. So, pedestrian detection is one of the most important components in driver-assistance systems. There are some methods for pedestrian detection, for example, infrared camera methods, pattern matching methods, and image features methods. In this paper, we propose new image features for real-time pedestrian recognition, named FGLAC. It is based on GLAC, but this method features short processing time and high recognition rate more than GLAC.
