Abstract(in English) | The goal of the R&D project is to realize cognitive radio networking environments which consist from heterogeneous-type and spectrum-sharing-type cognitive radio technologies. Though the heterogeneous-type cognitive radio technology improves spectrum usage efficiency by controlling the traffic balance among existing RANs, the spectrum-shanng-type does by using the white space frequency bands. We researched the technologies to improve efficiency of spectrum utilization on multiple-RANs and multiple-operators environments. We have achieved that the spectrum usage improves 1.5 times as efficient without changing spectrum assignment, and we also developed a quick sensing technology which conforms to the quality defined by overseas standards/draft standards, e.g. US FCC and Singapore IDA. Furthermore, we have promoted standardization and commercialization of our R&D results our proposed managing framework becomes the essential part of IEEE 1900.4, 1900.4a and 1900.6 standards, and cognitive radio base stations are now available as a part of solution in business. |
