Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) filled with ferromagnetic metals show high coercivity due to have shape anisotropy owing to having the high-aspect ratio of magnetic particles. Thus they are expected to apply for many applications such as hyperthermia and probe of magnetic force microscope. In this study, CNTs filled with iron were prepared by thermal chemical vapor deposition (T-CVD) method using ferrocene as a precursor and its magnetic properties were measured. It was found that growth condition such as CVD temperature and ferrocene sublimation temperature influence growth morphology of iron filled CNT and its magnetic property. From these results, it is considered that magnetic properties of iron filled CNTs can be controlled by growth conditions.
