Fabrication and characteristics evaluation of superconducting single photon detector on Si substrate

Abstract(in English) Superconducting single photon detectors (SSPDs) are highly promising devices for single-photon detection at telecommunication wavelengths, and applied in the field of quantum information and communication technology If we achieve high performance SSPD on the silicon (S1) substrate that is the main material for the optical circuit, we can realize integration of various optical elements and SSPD on the S1 substrate This contributes greatly to the development of quantum optics and quantum information and communication technology We performed optimization of the conditions of NbN thin film on the S1 substrate, and fabricated the SSPD device on S1 substrate at optimized condition We also measured superconducting properties and system detection efficiency, which was found to be 6 4 %, 7 8 % at wavelengths of 1550 and 1310 nm, respectively
