Abstract(in English) This paper presents a metal plate lens with closely placed primary radiator by considering radiated electric field near the horn antenna. The proposed lens antenna was measured to have equivalent gain and directivity of a conventional lens antenna. As a result, the proposed lens can be moved 35 cm to the horn antenna compared with the conventional one. Moreover, the sidelobe level of the proposed lens antenna was lower than the conventional one. In addition, the cause of the lower sidelobe level was explained by using array factor
