Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Clusters with GPUs become widespread because they provide high peak performance and good performance per cost However, since the number of plugged GPUs into a single node is limited by power supply and so on, such clusters must have multiple nodes. This conventional multi-GPU cluster requires programmers to consider hierarichical programming model consist of inter-node and intra-node controlled. We propose new multi-GPU system, single host and multiple GPUs connected via Ethernet by using ExpEther. Our experimental reault show our proposed system can obtain performance improvement by the number of devices increasing. In comparing conventional and proposed systems, evaluation obtained show that superiority or inferiority is depend on application.
