Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In conventional researches, mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) are widely used for a feature parameter which approximates vocal tract characteristics. However, use of other feature parameters, i.e., a fluctuation of the speech signal has not been fully discussed in recent research progress. Since the speech signal involves various fluctuations caused by a speech generation scheme with a human living body, fluctuations includes speaker discriminative characteristics based on individual physical abilities. Therefore, we propose a enhancement method of the speech signal fluctuations by utilizing aperiodicity of speech component based on periodic and aperiodic components decomposition of the speech signal. The experimental results reveal that the proposed method outperforms conventional methods in terms of speaker recognition accuracy.
