Abstract(in English) The UWB filter is necessary and also an important device for ultra-wide band communication, .Targeting at 3 1 to 10.6 GHz pass band, which is the desired microwave band of UWB communication in the United States, the design and fabrication of UWB filters are discussed in this paper, The UWB filters are constructed by combining a band-pass filter with a low-pass filter. The low-pass filter is constructed by microstrip lines and perpendicular slotlines in the ground plane. In this paper, we show the equivalent circuit and design method of the low-pass filter with particular consideration to the frequency band to be attenuated. Furthermore we investigate the influence of the form of MSL and SL on the passband, and apply the results to the filter design A UWB filter by using the CSRR (complementary split ring resonator) with a high-pass characteristic and a low-pass filter is proposed as a new model. The rectangular shape of the CSRR is investigated and fabricated. Finally the measured and simulated results of the designed UWB filters are demonstrated.
