Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Inter-cloud technology connects a number of cloud providers and let them exchange computational resources dynamically, thus providing the cloud service providers an ultra large cloud system that has huge computational resources. Clouds that join inter-cloud computing can lease resources such as virtual machine or storage from other clouds any time it wants. It is natural that, when a cloud leases resources, it tries to select the resources with the lowest cost and highest performance among resources of many clouds. However, it is not easy to develop a mechanism in inter-cloud such that each cloud can get exact information about performance of every cloud. In this research, I propose a performance-measurement method or architecture for inter-cloud community, in which each cloud gets reliable and exact information about performance of every cloud's resources at low costs. The effectiveness of this method is evaluated by a verification experiment on a commercial public cloud.
