Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report deals with audiovisual and haptic interactive communications over bandwidth guaranteed IP networks. We focus on video, which occupies the largest bandwidth among the three media. The report investi-gates the effects of guaranteed bandwidth for video, the video encoding bit rate and the playout buffering time on QoE. For the subjective experiment, we designed two kinds of task with different requirements for responsiveness. As a result of the experiment, we see that the bandwidth guaranteed IP networks can achieve high QoE in the three media communications. Furthermore, we examine the difference between interactive audiovisual communications and the three media communications from a viewpoint of methods of the optimum parameter setting.
