Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates the average block error rate (BLER) performance of space-time block code (STBC) using adaptive antenna selection (AAS) for discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-precoded orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) In STBC using AAS, although a feedback of the selected antenna information is necessary, high selection diversity gain is obtained in addition to maximal ratio combining (MRC) gain of STBC according to the increase in transmit antennas, NTx Computer simulation results show that the required average received signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) of STBC suing AAS decreases by increasing NTx value up to 8 even in the condition when a sufficient received diversity effect is obtained using NRx = 8 antennas We also show that STBC using AAS decreases the required average received SNR significantly compared to that for a combination of STBC and time switched transmit diversity (TSTD) in low-mobility environment and achieves equal or smaller required average received SNR in middle-to-high-mobility environment.
