Abstract(in English) Because of progressing of the elastic network technologies, the paradigm shift from the service deployment united with the network to the network deployment united with the service is occurring. In order to accelerate this paradigm shift, "Elastic Lambda Aggregation Network (EλAN or ELAN)" which is combined optical access networks exist for service by service and an aggregation network exists for service traffic aggregation to a service agnostic core network by optical elastic networking technologies and network virtualization technologies. EλAN offers the function which united the optical access network and the aggregation (i.e.metro) network. This paper provides research and development activities of ELAN related technologies in Japan.
