Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a design for a parallel distributed video processing method that guarantees the processing throughput even in a heterogeneous environment that consists of processors with different speeds and variable loading states. In the proposed method, the raw data is divided into multiple flows and chunks are processed at multiple servers. We adopt a pull-based file transfer protocol called FMFTP, which has abilities of transfer rate control, for data transfer of parallelized flows. The loading state is estimated by the queue status used for data transfer in FMFTP; the traffic of each flow is controlled to avoid bottlenecks of each flow. Our evaluation shows that the proposed method can increases the processing throughput compared with a standard method that splits traffic equally.
