Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On current long fat networks, enough performance is not obtained with TCP Reno, which is the classical TCP congestion control algonthm. For this issue, several modern TCP congestion control algorithms, such as CUBIC TCP, have been proposed. These modern TCPs have raised another issue, which is performance fairness among these TCPs, and some works on this issue have been published. However, these works have been based on not practical TCP implementation but simulation. In this paper, we present discussion on TCP fairness using practical TCP implementations and practical network elements.
