Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to construct optical fiber networks economically and efficiently, we have successfully developed new ultra-high-density optical fiber cables which are applied for underground and aerial networks These cables contain newly developed optical fiber ribbon which is called "Spider Web Ribbon" By optimizing several structural parameters, we have achieved the highest level in the world of the fiber packaging density of the newly developed cables and realized to reduce cable diameter and weight On this paper, we will describe the main design contents of the Spider Web Ribbon and the ultra high density optical fiber cable, and report the various characteristics
