Abstract(in English) | Recently the scale of date center is going larger with rapid increase in the amount of information traffic. As the result, the power consumption at date centers is rapidly increased. Therefore, the High-Voltage DC(HVDC) power distribution system is examined for saving power consumption at date centers. Here, it is assumed that a high-efficiency, high-power-density DC-DC converter is used in the input rectifier stage of an HVDC power supply system. This paper presents a scheme of the usage of an LLC current-mode resonant converter as the high-efficiency, high-power-density DC-DC converter mentioned above. This LLC resonant converter has prominent features of high efficiency and low noise at medium power capacity. On the other hand, at higher power capacity, the power efficiency deteriorates due to higher peak current, and it is difficult to fabricate a higher-power converter as a single body. In this scheme, multiple LLC current resonant converters of 1 to 2kW are connected in parallel in order to increase the total power. The research target of this paper is to check the parallel operation of multiple LLC resonant converters with different circuit parameters and switching frequencies. |
