Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a coherent system, the phase shift caused by the optical frequency difference between a phase modulation signal and local oscillator adversely affects transmission performance The M-power algorithm for digital signal processing of the digital coherent receiver is widely used to estimate and compensate the phase shift The compensation range of the M-power algorithm is, however, limited Thus, cycle slip occurs when the phase shift is out of the compensation range We propose an algorithm using statistical analysis for suppressing cycle slip in a digital coherent system The proposed algorithm enables cycle-shp-free WDM transmission and improves transmission performance
