Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports the recognition results of characters drawn in the air using time space continuous dynamic programming (TSCDP). TSCDP can perform time-space segmentation-free recognition of a point trajectory corresponding a category of character from a video. Time segmentation-free function of recognition means that the method requires no time segmentation of a target pattern from an input stream of motion images in advance. Space segmentation-free function of recognition means that a target pattern can be allowed at any location and also multiple target patterns are allowed in the one scene at the same time. TSCDP can recognize target patterns under the situation that there are many kinds of occlusion including moving scene and a video captured by a moving camera. We conducted many experiments to confirm the ability of the proposed method.
