Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Colorization is technique of adding color to a monochrome image using computer technology. Color transfer is one of the famous methods, and transmits a color component to targeted monochrome image by any source color images referred on the Internet or image database. The conventional method has sometimes conspicuously erroneous colorization in case that it cannot transfer the color from appropriate area. In this paper, we proposed a new colorization method which uses image video segmentation and region matching. Simulation results show our algorithm works better than conventional one.
