Evaluation of measurement precision on foot position when using our shoe-type measurement device

Abstract(in English) We have been developing a foot position measurement system that could estimate foot position while walking for walking rehabilitation. In a previous study, the estimation of the foot position was performed using the Particle Filter method that could realize high estimate accuracy in sensor fusion. However, the estimation process was carried out in no real-time operation in previous study. In this paper, we improved the measurement system so that it could measure the foot position in real-time operation, and investigated its efficacy. From the experimental results, it was found that the estimation accuracy was almost equal 0r better than that of the previous system.
