Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize high realistic interactions between a user and virtual objects, it is very important to give him/her haptic stimuli in augmented reality as if he/she touched them. In most previous works, a user is equipped with haptic devices to realize haptic feedback. However, such devices prevent him/her from moving naturally. The goal of our research is to realize haptic feedback without haptic devices. In this paper, we propose a representation method of haptic feed back by using pseudo-haptics which is generated by a conflict of visual and proprioceptive sensation. We also investigated the conditions where pseudo-haptics makes users perceive the weight of virtual objects.
