Influence on subjective impression by image of different resolutions

Abstract(in English) The development of imaging technologies and display, it has been enabled to represent the pixels of 4K(3840×2160) and 8K(7680×4320). The difference of image resolution is related to degradation to such as JPEG encoding image. In this paper, we measure the impression of the change in image resolution by Semantic Differential Method, and made a factor analysis. As a result, six factors were extracted and the first factor was influenced of adjective pairs that are relevant to image resolution. each image content, the degree of change of impression was different. It indicates to that there are difference of importance of image resolution.
