Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Delta-Notch signaling pathway plays an essential role in various morphogenetic systems of mul- ticellular animal development, and has been the focus of multiple modeling studies. In this paper we revisit a previous model of lateral inhibition and boundary cell formation using a new approach based on a logical formalism. Our results reveal unnoticed properties of the original model, and suggest possible improvements while giving new insights into the biological system.
