Abstract(in English) | Tactile Map Automated Creation System (tmacs) utilizes an automatic braille translation program "eBraille" for translating place names. eBraille outputs some transcription errors of Kana from Kanji (Chinese characters), which is a necessary step for braille translation, because some place names have multiple Kana transcriptions for the same Kanji. We researched and developed a program to improve the translation accuracy of place names. Firstly we analyzed the transcription errors of place names by using 1 2 1 5 1 0 municipality names database which is provided by Japan post Co., Ltd. We then used morphemes of prefecture and municipality names so that we can modify our program to output correct translation. As a result, eBraille achieved 9A.91% of Kana transcription accuracy. |
