Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of the most visible consequences of progress in multimedia has been an increase in image quality such as 4K2K display products. Nowadays, image/video of several pixel resolutions from 4k2K to QVGA are widely used for video communication, broadcasting and image processing. Therefore, we focus on the impression and influence which has been observed from the images of different pixel resolutions. For obtaining the psychological factors caused by the different pixel resolutions, we was carried out the subjective assessment test, and then was analyzed these subjective data by factor analysis. In addition. a cross national comparison of subjective impression observed from difference of pixel resolution between Japanese and Chinese was performed.
