Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We examined the effects of coding methods on listening accuracy of dysarthric speech. Dysarthric speech caused by athetoid cerebral palsy was coded by AMR (adaptive multi-rate)with 12200 bps and 4750 bps bit rates. We compared listening accuracy of dysarthric speech coded by different bit rates. The results showed that listening accuracy did not degrade when dysarthric speech coded by AMR with 12200 bps bit rate. However listening accuracy degrade about 10%when dysarthric speech coded by AMR with 4750 bps bit rate.
