Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, transmissions of tactile sensation have actively been researched following visual and audio in- formation. In conventional study, there is much research about performance evaluation of bilateral control systems. These methods just evaluate the performance of control systems, and can not evaluate the quality which human beings allow. Hence, this study researches a subjective quality assessment of the haptic communication. Because an operator evaluates the quality directly, the subjective quality assessment has a very important meaning for a quality index. However, the subjective quality assessment has some problems that the method needs many examinees and costs. For these problems, this study proposes a mapping method from the value of objective quality evaluation to the value of subjective quality assessment.
