Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Not only functional groups in molecules but also their detailed micro-environment at a functional group level are analyzed by infrared spectroscopy. However, it becomes sometimes difficult to interpret complicated spectral feature containing the molecular information, although simple experimental setup and easy handling. In order to unravel the information, many computational methods for spectral analyses have been developed. In the present lecture, two-dimensional (2D) correlation spectroscopy will be overviewed. Molecular information about several kinds of polymer materials obtained by 2D IR correlation analyses will also be discussed.
