Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The all-optical magnetic recording is one of methods for ultra-fast recording. A circularly polarizied light for high density all-optical magnetic recording. can be confined from a circularly polarized light propagating through space by a plasmon antenna which uses localized surface plasmon (LSP). In this paper, the circularly polarized light generated from a surface plasmon polariton (SPP)propagated by a plasmonic waveguide (PW)for high efficiency energy propagation. It is investigated that the near field intensity created by the plasmon antenna with the PW depending on an angle of the incident light. The energy and propagation efficiency of SPPs delivered on a Au sheet of the PW are also studied. Furthermore, the creation of confined circularly polarized light by the combination of PW and plasmon antenna is demonstrated.
