Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, personal authentications have been important because of the popularization of personal portable devices or ICcards. Since a conventional password authentication have some drawbacks such as forgetting password and peeping, many visual authentication methods using graphics have been proposed. However, few researches of the non-visual methods are known. Study of audio personal authentication is also important from the point of universal design. In this paper, we propose the audio personal authentication method using cocktail party effect. The method authenticates a person whether he can distinguish a particular sound from other jamming sounds. In this paper, we assess the performance of the method by the experiments.
