| Abstract(in English) | Urban developments, redevelopments, and increase of chain stores are erasing the characteristics in landscapes of local areas. Also, sharing of information in a local area has become difficult by the change in lifestyles and communities. There is a risk of local areas losing uniqueness from inside and outside. Maintaining the characteristics of locality can be important elements for the transmission of information for tourism industries, cultural businesses, and others. In order to take advantage of leaving the characteristics of locality, we propose the system "GBvoice", providing audio content to accumulate the experience and knowledge of the people familiar with the local area. The experiment, result shows that audio has technical convenience and functionality, and naturally collects interesting stories from the interviewees. Also, listeners of the audio can walk around local areas with more reality, which can lead to stimulation of interest towards the areas. Our system is designed based upon the results of these experiments, implementing audio contents and maps. The evaluation experiment of this system shows that the contents and system may become useful for providing local information. |
